APSU Men's Basketball Charity Exhibition Game 2024
After volunteering at Clarksville ReStore and learning of the mission of Habitat for Humanity, a partnership between Men's Basketball and Habitat for Humantiy was a fate. Wanting to give back to victims of the December 2023 tornado, Austin Peay State University's Men's Basketball team reached out to Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, to see how they could best serve their neighbors.
Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, is a housing non-profit that serves low to extremely low income families to offer safe, stable, and affordable housing. Through generous donations, grants, and Clarksville ReStore (thrift and construction supply store), Habitat is able to serve those that would not typically be able to afford homeownership.
In addition to funding home builds, Restore offers affordable options for families to repair, replace, or refurnish their homes after disaster. Following the tornado that damaged hundreds of homes in Clarksville/Montgomery County, Clarksville ReStore made $75,000.00 worth of gift cards available to survivors directly impacted by this tragedy.
